The Dress

Size 12 Cymbeline Idylle wedding dress purchased in 2017 from the 2016/17 collection.

This dress has not been altered in size so the length is as it comes originally. I’m 5ft 9 and it fell perfectly for my height - I wore 2 inch block heels with it.

I normally wear a UK size 12 & my bra size is 34D.

Dress measurements are:

Shoulder to hem (front of dress, not train) - 155cm
Bust - 92cm
Waist - 78cm

The dress has been professionally cleaned and preserved in a handmade, breathable acid free tissue box which will preserve the dress for a life time.

Although I’ve had it professionally dry cleaned, there are two faint marks which, I’ve captured.

Both are on the back of the dress.

One is on the back of the belted section (which would be covered if you had an embellished ribbon belt like me) and the other is on back at the very bottom of the train (circled on close up). So, neither would be noticeable. Otherwise it is in perfect condition; no rips or tears and just needs a good steam as it’s been preserved in a tissue box.

This dress was purchased for £1350.

It’s a column dress with sweep train. It has French cord lace bodice and matt crepe skirt. The skirt has a slit, up to low thigh (not revealing unless you want it to be. Can be altered and closed if required).

It is very Grecian in style, but much more forgiving than a less structured dress. Extremely flattering mid section, with a structured pleated belt and draping pleats down the front. I purchased an embellished belt separately which went perfectly with it - see photos.

The dress also had the addition of pearl buttons to cover the zip closure.
