The Dress

The French Collection by Wendy Makin is a fusion of vintage glamour and classic styling. This dress is made from exquisite french lace with a beautiful nude coloured underlay. Alexis is a strapless sweetheart neck gown, with built in bra cups. I had her altered to include small off the shoulder lace details. These can be easily removed if required. I also had beautiful silk buttons added to the fastening on the rear of the dress, and a bustle added to the train. She's also been taken in on the waist and hips, but I believe this can be let out again if needed. I wear a UK size 8 on the top, and a UK size 10 on the bottom. She has been professionally dry cleaned and is as good as new. She's an absolutely gorgeous dress - very comfortable for all day wear (I didn't ever want to take her off!) and super flattering. She deserves so much more than to be sat in a box under my bed - I hope someone else will love her just as much as I have.

Alterations

Length altered - I am 5 foot 6 and wore a 2.5 inch heel. Waist and hips both taken in but I believe these can be let out again. Silk buttons added to the rear zip fastening. Bustle added to train. Off the shoulder lace added as extra detail. This can be removed if wanted.
