The Dress

Description: The Pronovias Privée Ileas gown is a mermaid silhouette in beautiful, shimmery satin with lace overlay. This dress is a bridal size 8 and was altered to fit a size 6 with a 34B cup bust. While the dress required almost no changes up top it was taken out slightly to fit my bottom half. I am 5'8" and wore approximately 2.5" wedge heels on my wedding day. Included with the dress is a customized Bel Aire diamond white veil from Kleinfeld Bridal (originally $830). The veil length was extended by 12” to match the long train of the gown and has lace detailing around the edges to match the style of the dress.

I fell in love with the elegance and sophistication of this dress. While the silhouette is modern and form-fitting, the lace and satin make the dress feel traditional and bridal. The lace and bead detail is absolutely beautiful and the long train gives it some drama.

Backstory: I truly loved my dress and had it professionally cleaned and preserved after the wedding because I wasn't ready to let go. However, as our family continues to expand we have less storage space and I would love to see this dress make someone else as happy on their wedding day as I was on mine.

Condition: Luckily I had no spills or mishaps on my wedding day and the gown is in good condition. The color is not quite as bright-white as when I bought it and will need a professional cleaning. There are two spots on the front that are more yellow in certain lighting but very subtle, and there are some small stains around the hem. All of the bustle-buttons are in place but you will need to reinforce the loops that attach from the train. Alterations

The dress required little alteration up top but needed to be let out around the butt/thighs.
