The Dress

From the designer: An AG team favorite this season! This romantic, silk crepe A-line style is perfectly balanced by hand-embroidered floral appliqué panels in the skirt. Our modern, wide scoop neckline is softened by floral petals peeking out from the neck and backline to create a gown with both clean lines and feminine details. Made-to-order in NYC.

From the bride: I loved the way my dress fit my large bust without showing too much cleavage, and the flowy A-line meant I could eat whatever I wanted on my wedding day :) The dress was very comfortable, easy to move in, and just needed a strapless bra and Spanx underneath. The modern, simple silhouette balanced with subtle, romantic floral details sold me! Sizing note: I had to order a large size (US 18) for my chest measurements, but the dress was brought in significantly during alterations. On my wedding day I was 5'8" (with half-inch heels on), 160 pounds, and a 34G.

Alterations

Matching bridal buttons were added to back of dress (along hidden zipper). Neckline was raised 2" from the original design to accommodate large bust (bra size 34G). Simple waistband detail added (similar to another Alexandra Grecco dress, Colette). All alterations were performed by designer's preferred tailor, Sew Elegant, for $1,400 total.
