The Dress

Size 6 Eve Gown by Rue de seine purchased from Babushka Ballerina Boutique Paddington Sydney at full price. Would fit size 6 or 8. I am an 8 in most labels. Incredibly comfortable, luxurious feeling light cotton silk handmade lace. Flattering vintage style with the most beautiful train. Suits busted or less busty as very forgiving style. The comments that I received on the dress on my wedding day were overwhelming. Looks even more beautiful in life.

Alterations - straps shortened by less than 1cm and dress bought up at the waist by 1cm by professional alterations (cost $300 for the alterations). I am 5'6" and I wore 4" heels. The front of the dress just touched the ground standing.

Condition - Worn once only. Dry-cleaned the following day after the wedding by professional dry-cleaners at a premium cost for delicate fabric (receipt available $118). The dress looks to the naked eye in perfect/ as-new condition. I am very particular so I will outline the only minor imperfections of the dress which are not visible when the dress is worn!

On the lining slip in two places there is some very light staining, it cannot be seen in most lights and cannot be seen when the dress is on (just the inside only). There are 3 very tiny (less than a lentil size) slight marks on the trail that cannot be seen unless you hold the trail in your hands and finely examine it up close in bright lighting. Two small (less than 2cm) areas of the train lace I had professionally re-embroidered as those 2 parts only of the lace had become thin from wear and would have developed a hole if not repaired. Again, I have to stress that these are all very small imperfections that are not perceivable unless you examine the dress right up close. It would not be noticed by anybody on your wedding day or in photos. It is essentially as new. Still in dry-cleaned and pressed condition but after shipping should be steamed or pressed with warm iron on the day to improve the fabric crispness and look like it just came from the boutique.

Happy to email any photos of imperfections but they have not been included because you cant really see them in photographs they are so faint. Happy to have you come to view the dress before purchase. Will not allow try-ons as I do not want the dress to be damaged.
