The Dress

My incredible silk, wonderful, worn-once, ‘Baby Fern’ ivory wedding dress by Vera Wang, which I bought in 2003 for £3465.00 and wore in 2004. When I first saw this dress I couldn’t stop smiling, so I knew it was the one. I hope it can make someone else as happy.
I have the certificate of authenticity and the receipt which I can pass on to you.
The vintage gown has an embroidered bodice with tulle overlay. This dress gave me the second best day of my life (the first was my twins being born some time later!) It is ivory, flattering A-line, but not so wide that it feels too much, but it was enough for me to wear in quite an imposing church.
It has a satin ribbon belt to pull you in at the waist. The net tulle overlay takes away any unflattering shine. The embroidery is exquisite with sequins that are pale gold, pearl and silver.
I am tall at 177 centimetres and this was a perfect length- I wore flat silver shoes underneath because I wanted to dance.
I have had this professionally cleaned and kept ever since in tissue and protective covering in my smoke-free house.
There are a few little bits of wear and tear when you look closely. A couple of tiny stains which you can’t see unless you look very closely, a few tears on the tulle plus two tiny holes in the tulle. The tears are at the bottom and a seamstress could hem it to disguise them. The holes are not noticeable.
The main thing anyone will notice will be the embroidery of the bodice which is perfect.
As the bottom of the tulle has a bit of wear and tear I have taken that into account in my pricing.
