The Dress

This Bliss by Monique Lhullier wedding dress is literally one-of-a-kind. The dress has the original dress design with a wide "V" shape in front and has a very sheer mesh that is almost impossible to see. It was too risque for me so I had a tailor hand-bead the V neckline with jewels and pearls that matched the bust area. Loved how beautiful it turned out with a little touch of sexy and literally no other dress has this gorgeous detail! The sides are V shaped and the back is a low back with beading all the way through. I felt like an absolute princess with the light ivory layers of tulle that trailed behind and looked gorgeous in photos. I fell in love with the dress as it’s not a true bright white dress, the ivory and light pink tulle gave it such a whimsical, dimensional vibe and the pockets are a girls dream! My tailor did an amazing job with the bustle as well, she is a master tailor and instead of one giant bustle, she added 4 points so the dress made this gorgeous dimension even tied up for dancing! The only flaw is almost unnoticeable and can be fixed. There is one 1” hole where I’m pretty sure got stepped on throughout the night in one of the layers of tulle. I am able to send photos of it if needed, but it’s so buried in the 6 layers of tulle that you can’t see it or can be fixed with a simple repair. I absolutely adore this dress and hope someone can feel just as amazing and confident as I did on our wedding day!

Alterations

The dress straps were shortened slightly, cups added and the dress was slightly shortened as I am 5’7” with heels on. There is a custom hand beading to cover the bust slightly for a more tasteful V neckline and a multi-point bustle to help create dimension when you need to dance!
