The Dress

Where do I begin with this absolute beauty of a dress!


Few years ago I was eyeing off this two piece gown at a bridal expo which I approached the designer only to book in a time to try it on. Was the first dress I tried on for my future wedding and the deposit was given knowing it would take a year alone to get the material made in France. The pattern you see are made from small glass beads that are individually sawn to create that unique pattern hence why it took a year to make. 


I wanted to keep the skirt design the same but requested to change the top. We worked together to construct a new design just for me which means that no one has this exact dress. If you notice closely the long plastic tags that hang the dress up (these are need to be removed when you need to wear it) are still intact because I never wore this due to covid. We had to cancel our wedding and instead we ended up having a kid which is why you can see in the photo I can’t fit into the top - my body has changed. 


Regretfully I’m selling this dress in hope that someone out there will get to wear it to their special day or too many other special events because this outfit can be worn as a gown. You can also mix match which was my intention from purchasing it. I thought, if I’m going to invest in a dress I want to be able to wear it more than once hehe.


Since this was custom made to fit me, here are my exact measurements;
I’m 153 cms tall and when this was made I was 52kgs therefore from my waist (which is where the skirt sits the highest) to the floor I’m 98cms and the skirt is 109 cms so that gives you room to wear heels and for it to touch the floor. 


The back of the skirt has a little trail therefore it measures 118 from the waist down. The waist flat is 35 cms (aka 70cms) and it does have a bit of a stretch material so it gives a bit which is great for comfort. Because of the glass beads, there is some weight to this. The skirt weighs at 2.2 kgs and the top is .300 grams.


The height of the top measures at 31 cms and the width which is under the bust area is 33 cms (66cms) again this has a stretchy effect. I love this shape as the straps can be on top of the shoulders or you can drop them down to the sides. I was a small cup C with this but now due to baby they have changed as you can see lol. But the cups can be removed if need be or/& replace other.


Because this was custom made I paid over $11,000 and since I have never worn it (except for these photos) I feel the price is reasonable for her amazing design and work. I have added photos that have the light shining to show you how much it sparkles. It's a very elegant sexy dress that's for sure!
