The Dress

This timeless gown is sure to be a favourite amongst PJB brides. The high bias-cut funnel neck, clean minimal aesthetic and lady-like elegance is reminiscent of the early 60s.

With handmade rouleau loops and covered buttons down the centre back of the bodice.

Note: This dress is a Prea James size 9 - I didn’t have the option to select 9 on this ad. The dress best fits a 6-8.

The skirt is bias cut and will hug under the hips. Can go up a size in the hip if you want it to be a little less figure hugging.

Fitted at the waist with a relaxed fit bodice.

Condition:

The dress is in great used condition. It has not been dry cleaned, but has been priced to reflect that the next wearer will want to have it dry cleaned.

To summarise the imperfections, there is a slight yellowish mark neck the next (probably Chardonnay) and then the underside of the skirt / train has marks from the winery ground. The actual skirt itself is remarkably clean and there are no pulls.

Label was removed as you could see it while wearing it, but the original documentation will be provided for proof of authenticity.

Dress will be sold including protective acid free garment bag from Bluebell Bridal.

Alterations

Ordered a size 9 to account for the booty, and had the bodice taken in to fit my usual size 6-8 frame. The top is voluminous so would fit a 6-8. I am happy to give specific measurements upon request.

The skirt of the dress was also shortened to skim just off the ground for my 157 + 10cm heels height.

The train at the back was also shortened because it was too long and appeared unbalanced based on my height.

I also paid to have a 5 point bustle added to the skirt to aid disco dancing 💃🏽
