The Dress

This Melissa Sweet Linear Lace Dress is stunning! But (and don't laugh) I bought two of them. One in a size 14 and one in a size 18 (pictures 1 &2 are from when I first bought it. I'm 5'7 and at the time I was 185 pounds. Former measurements were 46 inch bust, 40 inch waist, and 46 inch hips and there was still plenty of room in the hips, bust and waist, and the sleeves were roomy so it would fit someone bigger than I was. Pictures 3 &4 are from after I lost weight).

I had gained some weight during Covid and bought my original dress 2 years ago. The dress is sheath style and fitted, so there is no extra material for it to be let out. I was afraid I'd never get back down to a size 14 in time for my October 2023 wedding but remained hopeful. To alleviate my anxiety though, I decided to buy the same dress but in a bigger size.

Well, now the size 14 dress fits! So I have this gorgeous size 18 dress to sell. It is unaltered, unworn (only tried on), and there are no rips or tears or stains on the dress. The tag is still attached. Smoke free home. It's been sitting in the original garment bag in the back of my closet for about a year. The dress retailed at $1,300, but I bought it for $700, so I'm asking $500. Let me know if you would like additional photos or videos of the dress! It's hard to tell from my photos, but the lace panels have a subtle sparkle to them which is gorgeous.
