The Dress

Get married in a couture gown by Amanda James Bridal! Over 450 yards of ruffles create the magical skirt of this gown. Delicate dot plissé tulle is cut into strips, shirred, and stitched in arching shapes that creates a cascade effect to the feather-like, ruffled layers. Corset bodice is hand shirred with the dot plissé that follows the dipping neckline shape. Skirt has built-in crinoline & horsehair structure.

Worn for all of 2.5 hours, this dress is in near-perfect condition, and would be a dream for any bride. For more specific details, DM me. I did the ceremony, family photos & portraits during cocktail hour, and then changed out of it for our entrance to the reception. Extremely well taken care of and in near perfect condition! There's a snag or two on the very inside lining closest to your body which guaranteed no one will see under the cascading sea of tulle!

Retailing at $6,110.00, and with $4,000 of alterations being done you can get married in this couture gown and save A TON! Only alterations made are as follows:
–Hemmed for 5'7''/5'8'' height (with heels on). The 450 yards of tulle constructed asymetrically was an extremely time consuming and laborious job, even for a top tailor. This was why the alterations were so pricey.
–White lining added to corset/bodice as I wanted a more seamless white look. The lining is easily removable if you're looking for a more "nude" look!

Alterations

Hemmed for length at the front, kept the length of the train! I'm 5'4'' and about 5'7''-5'8'' in the heels I wore on my wedding day. This could work for many different height brides depending on the heels/flats you wear! No alterations made in the corset/bodice and match the sizing chart from the designer and as shown here.

I would recommend that your bust and waist measurements match, because expanding or reducing the size of the corset/bodice is not really an option given how it's constructed (adding straps is possible though!) A bra can be added to fill it out a bit more but the dress is heavy and should generally fit well.

For further reference, I'm a 34/36 D.
Height is one factor that can be easily customizable with shoe choice.
