The Dress

Martina Liana 1510 Ivory Lace and Tulle over Rum Gown. Used once with no stains, minimal wear and tear for ceremony/reception. Like new, since I changed into a different dress for dancing. Dry-cleaned & ready to wear.

I went to many dress shop visits before I found this beautiful dress that truly made me feel like a bride. When I saw it, I knew I had to try on the dress. Martina Liana’s wedding gowns are on another level of elegance and I really understood the saying “you get what you pay for.” I love the details in the design: the beautiful lace, subtle beading, and flowers. The dress was modern, yet timeless. And the framework hugged me in all the right places.

I would love for this special dress to be repurposed and to make a bride feel as perfect as I felt on my wedding day, while staying within a reasonable budget.

Alterations

I only had alter 3 things: the shoulder straps, the length, and the bustle. I had a talented seamstress save the shoulder straps so it was never cut off & can be easily repositioned (picture above). The dress was hemmed and cut off 6.5 inches. For reference, I am 5’2” and wore 4 inch heels for the dress to be floor length. I added on a 3-hook bustle to allow for easier walking (picture above).
