The Dress

I'm selling the wedding dress of my dreams - the Sassi Holford 'Lauren' dress. It is INCREDIBLY flattering, classic and stunning. It was love at first sight - Lauren was amongst the first dresses I tried on at Sassi Holford's flagship store in London (my first appt too), and I purchased immediately. I had so many compliments and felt incredible on the day. The material is so luxurious - it drapes off the body, doesn't cling and the thick waistband really holds you in. The plunge neckline is amazing too - even for those with big boobs. I made my look more demure by wearing nude heavy duty boob tape (I have D cup boobs and didn't want much cleavage). The low back is incredible also and just finishes the look. The silk sleeves were dreamy for a winter wedding (I'm also self conscious about my arms, so wanted a long sleeved dress that wasn't frumpy - and this fitted the bill perfectly!)

I'm 5ft9 and wore 7cm heels - which makes the length approx 182cm. I'm a size 12 with quite an hourglass figure - the dress scooped me in at the waist and hung beautifully on the hips - I didn't want skin tight so I could breathe, move and dance and not feel like I was sucking in the entire day.

I bought her for around £3200 (it was fully custom made) including alterations (RRP is £2750) and it was handmade in Somerset. This is a great opportunity to buy a super expensive gown for way cheaper - I would have done this too but couldn't find any suitable at the time.

She's been professionally dry cleaned (cost £300) from Bentley Garment Care in London, as recommended by Sassi Holford.

Alterations

I'm 5ft 9 (175cm) and wore 7cm heels (Rainbow Club - Morgan style) - so dress is approx 182cm in length. I'm a 34d bra size and cups were removed to make a bit more demure and lessen the cleavage (I also used boob tape as support). Was also altered to fit more closely around the waist.
