The Dress

This Ines di Santo gown is a dream! It's 100% silk. The bodice is a light silk fabric (very comfortable and easy to move) with vertical boning that really elongates & slims the torso. Clean and simple lines. The bottom is full of drama with multi-layered asymmetrical textured skirt - also 100% silk and lace hand sewn, with layers of tulle underneath to keep the shape. While the fabric is very light, the layers of tulle under the skirt does add weight.

The bodice of the gown has an inner adjustable lining that sucks you in (can make it looser or tighter).

The gown was not designed with a bustle but my seamstress (expert seamstress in NYC - Alzira Hermes, who is the exclusive seamstress for Oscar de la Renta), created a simple and easy bustle. The dress still maintains drama with the bustle (photos I included show it both bustled and non bustled).

I am 5'4" and weigh 125 lbs, size 4 dress / 26-27 jeans / 34C-34D chest. I wore 4.5 inch heels - so call it 5 ft 9. The gown was altered and customized to fit my body so I'm not sure on the exact measurements.

I wore this dress for both the ceremony and most of my reception, before changing into a party dress, and it is in great condition. The dress is comfortable and easy to move in, although dancing is a bit challenging with the train of the dress (even when bustled - it's a lot of fabric at the bottom).

I am also willing to sell you my veil - single layer tulle - which was custom made extra long to work well with the long train of the dress.

The dress has not been dry cleaned.

I couldn't love a dress more and received endless compliments. I think if you are aiming for a flirty/dramatic overall vibe that still feels classic - this is the perfect gown for you!
