The Dress

This beautiful custom-made DARB Bridal Couture French lace gown was my dream dress!

I had a vision for this dress and, over the course of multiple discussions and fittings, Brad brought it to life with his incredible talent. It was everything I imagined it would be – it was perfect to look at and incredibly comfortable and lightweight.

The most stunning feature of the dress is the beautiful keyhole back, framed by gorgeous French lace and carefully placed silk buttons. The dress falls into a long train, which perfectly shows off the scalloped lace detail all around the bottom (it also has a button inside to pin it up when it’s time to party!).

The dress is a size 6 to 8 (I vary between brands but the dress should fit a size 6 or a smaller size 8). I have a 10C bust and had cups sewn into the dress for shape. I am 164cm tall and wore 9.5cm heels on the day. The dress has a seam under the bust so it could be taken up if needed whilst maintaining the incredible scalloped lace at the bottom.

The price also includes my gorgeous long DARB Bridal Couture veil.

This dress and veil are in excellent condition and were dry-cleaned by Leon’s Fine Dry-Cleaning. The dress has one tiny little tear (2-3cms) near the bottom which could be easily and unnoticeably sewn up and one of the bust cups has moved a bit during the dry cleaning.

The dress is a few years old now. So far I haven’t been able to bear the thought of parting with it; but it is only sitting in my closet taking up space so I know it is time to say goodbye. Plus, I’d get so much joy from seeing another bride love this dress the way I did.
