The Dress

The off-shoulder sleeves add a beautiful detail, but they are also easily detachable for those looking for a more sleek look. Or even those looking to change the look throughout the day - I removed them for our first dance and the party.

The bodice is mikado constructed with exposed ‘corset’ seams with a low back. Although the bodice looks like it's connected with buttons, it's actually just a (well hidden) zip meaning it was very easy to get on and off. Underneath the bodice, there is also an additional softer bra-like strap to secure the bust, so it felt especially comfortable compared to how strapless dresses can often feel.

The skirt is layers of soft tulle and a semi-cathedral train. I loved that the train that was long enough to add a bit more wow-factor, but short enough that I could still easily move around from day to night.

Alterations

The dress was tailored for a shorter length to fit 5’6” with medium heels. There is also extra padding in the bust which can be easily removed without the need for a seamstress.

Note: I do not have the longer tulle sleeves advertised with on the Pronovias site, as I preferred it just with the off-shoulder flower detail.
