The Dress

The dress:

The dress is beautifully simple, yet strikingly beautiful. The Mikado has a subtle yet stunning sheen and the sweetheart neckline is soft and modest. Such a classic look, with a beautiful modern shape and buttons trailing down the back! The material has a quality weight to it and feels luxurious . The train is a lovely length to trail behind - simply stunning! The gown is ivory, but I would say on the whiter side.

The condition:

I had two wedding dresses. This one was worn during the ceremony and drinks reception (for approximately 3 hours). The dress is in excellent condition and was dry cleaned 48 hours after the wedding. There are some very minor marks on the bottom of the gown, which aren’t very noticeable and potentially could be taken up with alterations as the gowns original length wasn’t altered. There are a couple of similar minor marks on the inside of the gown, but these aren’t visible at all when the dress is worn. Pictures available on request.

Alterations

Bodice made smaller and more like a size 8 fit. No adjustments around the hips so remains at bridal size 12.
Nothing taken off the original length of the dress as I wore an underskirt.
