The Dress

This is a custom made dress that I had made for me when I was in India by the best Bespoke tailors at a very high end bridal shop in Kerala called Althea Bridal. The material is satin with hand sewn lace applique strategically placed. The dress has built in cups and an underskirt to give it volume (they called it a can can). And it has a beautiful cathedral length net and lace train. The unique thing about this dress is that the train is removable- it is on a lace belt with an invisible zipper and hook and eye in the back. With the train the dress has an a-line silhouette and without the train the dress has a mermaid silhouette. I would also be willing to sell the dress without the train for a slightly reduced price. I never wore the dress or train. 1 month before the wedding I had a change of heart and picked out a completely different dress, but I do still love this one. There is about 1 inch on each side seam of extra fabric, so this dress could easily be let out by 2 inches in the bust, waist and hips if needed. Happy to send more pictures if needed. Also, I have another dress that is almost exactly the same: Bust- 34", Waist- 30", Hips: 40". Height 5'3". Long story- but I ended up having two made. The second dress that is smaller is altered, but could also be let out by 2-4".
