The Dress

This dress was everything I said I didn’t want, it had lace, mesh and was very ‘bridal’. But when I tried it on I felt absolutely amazing, especially with the floor length vail.

The pattern on the lace is so beautiful, detailed flowers with beading on top which makes it feel really luxurious. The completely backless element of the dress was what really sold me!

There is one layer of ivory coloured polyester fabric, on top of the beautifully detailed beaded lace. The dress has been dry cleaned and is in perfect condition. Minor bobbling on the underneath layer due to being cleaned but completely unnoticeable due to lace overlay.

Alterations

The dress was altered to my height which is 5’7 and I wore flat sandals.

I replaced the original straps with a chiffon material for added stretch and loved the outcome. I also added a piece of the fabric at the back myself (behind my hair, you can see in photo three) to pull the straps together for additional support. I would suggest doing this and can include some with the dress. The dress fit me very well anyway, but alterations were made at the bottom to make sure it was the right length.
