The Dress

This is a Martin Thornburg for Mon Cheri dress from the Fall 2018 collection. The straps are beaded and it has both crystal looking button closure and a zipper in the back. It is has a few different layers, all different colors but it is basically in the ivory family right now. The top lace is white, the sequin layer is more of a champagne, and the reversible slip is either ivory or champagne. The slip is loosely attached so a good seamstress should be able to detach it if you wanted to use the other side. There were a couple of drawbacks to this dress. The train does have a little loop underneath the sequin layer to make the dress easier to hang. However there isn't an easily visible spot to pin the train on the actual dress. This dress is for a TALL woman! I wore heels with two inch platforms and it was still too long. The lace cannot be tailored without destroying the integrity of the dress. Otherwise it was very comfortable. I felt gorgeous in it.

The separate slip was attached to the inside of the dress.
