The Dress

I felt so beautiful and elegant when I first tried this dress on at the shop and knew I had to have it.

It was originally a size 12 sample dress (had barely been tried on) but I had it tailored to fit a size 6. It has never been worn, as the wedding was cancelled. Purchased from Angelica Bridal in London and comes with a storage bag.

This all white off-the-shoulder lace and tulle ballgown is a princess-inspired ball gown that’s bedecked in French laces that stand out against the coloured lining, and are carefully layered so as to increase in thickness—creating a unique, natural texture. The lace straps are highlighted with a narrowed plunging neckline, highlighting the upper body in all the right places! The bodice on this wedding dress also features a high back for supportive construction, topped with fabric-covered buttons. A slight train completes this traditional silhouette.

Alterations

The lace was removed along the bottom front of the dress (see photos) but not in the back. The length was also taken up slightly at the bottom so I could wear it (I’m 5 foot 2) with 4 inch heels. It was also taken in at the bodice area to fit tighter around the waist and bodice.
