The Dress

This beautiful wedding dress is the iconic “Grace” gown from the Monique Lhullier Spring 2009 collection.
It is a stunning two piece gown! The dress is sheath style with an illusion neckline at the top and a natural waistline. Embroidered Alencon lace runs all of the way to the floor and create a natural hem for the dress. The tulle ball skirt is made to wrap around the dress, creating a ballgown effect. The skirt is entirely made of tulle and has a slit in the front so that when you walk, the lace part of the sheath gown shows through. The tulle ball skirt comes with the matching cream satin ribbon, which ties in the front.

I purchased this in 2010 for my 2010 wedding new, at Kleinfeld’s in NYC. This dress has a slight A-line silhouette and sweetheart neckline. Kleinfeld's altered the dress from a size 22 to a size 10. I had to buy the bigger dress to accommodate my bust measurements (34D) and then they altered the dress to fit my size 8/10 frame. It has a sheer illusion top which can easily be removed for strapless neckline. Scalloped lace trim at the bottom with a 22-inch slit in the back from the bottom. Dress comes with the detachable multi layered tulle overlay skirt as seen on the runway. Dress fit me comfortably at 5'3” tall and 148lbs. I wore 2.5" heels at my wedding and the dress was altered at the waist to preserve the lace hem to just sweep above the the floor wearing heels. Was dry cleaned and preserved post wedding in 2010. Alterations

The dress was bought as a size 22 so that they it could accommodate a D cup. The head seamstress at Kleinfeld's then tailored the dress down to fit my size 10 frame. They did a beautiful job.
