The Dress
This dress is a DREAM. It feels very Dior, very high couture. It is SO light and airy with it's layered tulle. it moves beautifully, your silhouette shines through it. It's timeless -- both romantic and classic while having a little bit of an edge.
Light ivory French tulle strapless empire peignoir gown with off-the-shoulder floor-length sleeves (Detachable and optional, I paid extra for these) accented by tiered tulle ruffles.
The details are gorgeous. I wore the cape for the ceremony and removed it for the reception/dinner. The sleeves and cape are show stoppers -- straight out of a fairytale / romeo and juliet / couture runway show
The dress is empire waist so super flattering for any curves.
Alterations
I opted for a nude slip as opposed to ivory, which I personally think makes it feel more couture. I also added extra boning in the breasts, as I have larger chest and wanted more support. I also added extra grosgrain around the ribs/below the chest which is helpful if you are losing weight/in between sizes, as it is adjustable.
