ABOUT THE DRESS:

When I heard that Carolina Herrera's bridal department was shutting down, I booked one of the last bridal appointments that they offered, and that's where I found this dress, Ida. I tried on over 400 dresses before this one, but this was absolutely perfect. It was the last, never-before-tried-on version that they had in their showroom and it was absolutely meant for me. I hope it is meant for you too!

What I loved about this dress more than similar styles from other designers is simply the quality. The tailor that I worked with told me that her favorite dresses to tailor are all Carolina Herrera because of how amazing the craftsmanship is. The lace on this dress is stunning. There is simply nothing else like it.

Ida is one of the rarer Carolina Herrera styles and I've only seen it online one other time aside from on their 2019 lookbook per below.

Dress is sold as-is. There is no severe damage but there is discoloration on the inner layers (picture attached) which may be able to be cleaned by a dry cleaner, or can be chopped off! I am just under 5’ but I wore this with 5.5" Stuart Weitzman heels.

ABOUT THE BOLERO:

Bolero can be sold with the dress for extra cost or sold separately. It was PERFECT for our Italian wedding.
I received several FEET of Carolina Herrera lace and asked my tailor to create a bolero. It is absolutely beautiful and the back is all buttons. It cost me over $1000 in labor and the lace is probably another $1000 on top of that. Price negotiable.

Alterations

Dress was altered from roughly a size 8 to a size 0. Other alterations include:

-Neckline was deepened into more of a sweetheart shape.
-Added a ribbon to help break up the middle section (I would think that a tailor may be able to re-remove this)
-Bolero is fully custom and made from several feet of Carolina Herrera lace. It is fully detachable.
-Cups were added (fully detachable)
