Lela Rose Wedding Gown - The Augustine - Fall 2021 – Soft Magnolia A-line Gown with Draped Neckline and Scooped Back. Used for October 2023 wedding. Immediately after the wedding, I got it professionally dry-cleaned by a wedding dress specialist and it has been in a protective box ever since.

I love this wedding dress so much—it has a quality of timelessness, incredibly flattering silhouette, and simple yet elegant design.

The dress has a gorgeous low back adorned with buttons a quarter way down, and delicate thin spaghetti straps accentuate the silhouette, leading to a really pretty cowl-like detail at the bust. The bodice holds everything in place and cinches at the waste perfectly to show a figure, but the A-line allow you to not need to worry about bloating or any pre-wedding weight changes.

The quality of Lela Rose is unmatched, and the dress is super comfortable, easy to move in, and flows beautifully when dancing. The silk fabric looks especially beautiful when it catches the light.

Alterations

The dress was altered by Leonora, the amazing Director of Design at Lela Rose, for the following measurements: Height: 5’5” plus 2.25-inch block heels; Body measurements: Bust 33.5”, Waist 27”, Hip 38”

I added a ballroom bustle (with color coded loops that make it really easy) which essentially makes the train disappear. When you bustle it, it doesn't look like the dress has been bustled and gives the illusion that it was a floor-length gown. I have pictures of how the dress looks when bustled as well that I can send upon request.
