The Dress

Beautiful Mikado silk dress that I wore for my wedding in Feb 2022, it was stunning and I received so many compliments. It was a very comfortable dress to wear even though it seems quite fitted, it flows beautifully past the waist. Very easy to walk, sit and dance in, being Mikado silk the dress moves very easily with you even with a long train. Mikado silk does not wrinkle easily so it still looked beautiful at the end of the day after sitting/dancing etc.
It has a complimentary silk belt that you can wear or remove for the day and gorgeous button detailing down the length of the chapel length train. Bust cups were added in to help with the fit but can be removed by a seamstress. Only the addition of bust cups and length of the dress were altered by the seamstress, otherwise the dress is practically unaltered (no strap alteration or sides taken in/let out).
The dress has tulle underlay to help give the dress its a line/mini ballgown shape which can also be removed to make it more of an a line shape if desired. Also has pockets! There is a zipper at the back of the dress which is covered by the buttons. Button/loop bustle was added to aid with dancing later in the night, as seen in the photo. The dress bustles beautifully and the fabric flows well as if it was just an a line dress with no train.
I bought the dress brand new from Always and Forever in 2021. Dress was professionally dry cleaned by My Dressbox and packaged into a box for storage after the wedding. There was no damage to the dress on the day.

Alterations

Addition of bust cups and length of dress shortened.
Hem adjusted for my height (172cm): 163cm tall with 9.5cm heels
