The Dress

I hope you'll agree dress is gorgeous from the front, but I think the back is what really makes it stand out.

It's done up by a ribbon corset finishing just above the waist. The straps are a delicate lacy flower design. The train is elegant, but manageable - I went into dress searching thinking I didn't want a train at all!

I'm 5"6 and wore 9cm heels for the wedding, changing to 3cm heels for dancing at the reception, which was fine the dress bustled. The bustle is a small loop of lace on the train attached to a button on the back of the dress

Alterations:
I have added some extra stitches to the right strap where it joins to the dress, as this has come a bit loose after wearing it all day and night.
Other than that, it had zero alterations.

I've discovered that during drycleaning, one of the cup pads has migrated inside the dress. It is manoeuvrable from outside, but I haven't been able to get it back in position. I'd recommend getting that back in position and sewn in!

Although I think the fit of the dress was good for me, I think it would be perfect for someone with a slightly bigger bust and slightly narrower hips.
