The Dress

I tried on hundreds of wedding dresses before finding the perfect one. I discovered my dream in the Orchidea dress, in blush, from Maria Farbinni's Giardino Floreale collection. I fell in love with the designer and this dress, and I hope that someone can feel as radiant and beautiful as I did on my wedding day!

The Orchidea is a true masterpiece with layers of intricate details. The tulle is embroidered with delicate white lace flowers covered by sparkling crystals and beading which captivate in person. The sparkles are just so gorgeous in person and I wish I could capture them better in the photos. The lace gracefully covers layers of crepe in a subtle blush hue. The blush added dimension and charm to the dress which I could not find in a pure white dress. To add versatility, I also added gorgeous tulle gloves with matching lace appliques which made for multiple looks throughout the day.

The A-Line silhouette not only gives a regal elegance but is also ideal for comfort and freedom of movement. The dress was the perfect length, and the gown was not too heavy. I felt light like a princess and dancing was a breeze - I even had a lift during my wedding dance which was no problem at all. The dress is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, allowing unrestricted movement throughout the day which was incredibly important to me.

I was originally sized for a Maria Farbinni size 8 according to my true measurements. However, I found the store size 6 to be a perfect fit. I ordered the size 6 with B cups, which is exactly what I tried on in store. If you are able to try this dress or any Maria Farbinni A-Line dress on in store or at a trunk show, if her sample size 6 fits you then this dress will fit you perfectly. The dress has been tailored to my height (5 foot and 4.75 inches with 4 inch heels), and a 3 point bustle has been added at the back. The bustle, as shown in photos 5 and 7, is not only beautiful but very simple for bridesmaids or sisters to put together. I also have a video showing how the bustle works for extra convenience. The dress has only been worn for one night, and professionally dry cleaned immediately after. We ensured that it was extensively cleaned and not a spot was missed. It is in perfect condition so it looks just as it did when I first put it on.

I really hope someone will find as much beauty and joy in this dress as I did. I wish I could relive the magic of wearing this dress, and wear it over and over again, but unfortunately practicality prevails. I am excited for this gown to bring as much happiness to someone else as it brought to me!!
