The Dress

** NOTE ABOUT THE SIZE **
The total height in the description is taken from the top of the spaghetti strap [shoulders] when I am wearing it. The length of the skirt from the bottom of the waist to the floor is about 121cm [at the front].

This is now a little short story about the dress. Enjoy :)

This absolutely stunning gown was designed by Maevana Bridal and handcrafted in her North Fremantle Atelier. This dress was custom designed for me and the only one Maevana ever made in this style. The dress is truly one-of-a-kind and you can't find it anywhere else.

The brief for the dress was; it needs to be comfortable/roomy so I can dance and eat without feeling like I have to suck in, a soft nude pink colour, fitted around the waist, an A-line pleated skirt design with a train and thin spaghetti straps [as the wedding was in summer and I wanted my arms out].

Maevana absolutely DELIVERED and she far exceeded all expectations! I felt incredible wearing the dress and it was so comfortable even though it fitted like a glove. The 100% silk dress felt like air, I honestly felt like I was wearing a silk slip dress. Even though a lot of dancing, drinking and eating occurred the dress hid everything so well.

Maevana also made a fabric loop for my wrist [in the same silk fabric] which had a hook on it. This hooked onto a small concealed clip on the end of the train so I could dance and walk around the reception with ease.

Somehow the dress came out unscathed except for right at the end of the night a small pull in the overskirt happened. DEVASTATED! However the magical people at the drycleaners have pressed it out and it's barley noticeable when you wear it. I have included images so you can see. The small pull is at crotch height but when the fabric gathers/folds from the plated design it's not obvious at all.

The only reason why I am selling the dress of my dreams, is because it's too beautiful to sit in a cupboard. I hope someone can give her another fun night!
