The Dress

The first thing I want to say about this dress is that it makes me feel like a fairy princess, which is exactly what I wanted. It has all the feel and look of a ballgown without being too heavy or large to need extra space around people. The last thing I wanted was to not be able to actually dance and move around in it. It fit me perfectly on the day that I bought it, and it fit me mostly perfectly on the day of my wedding. I, unfortunately, gained some weight during that time so my measurements when I bought it were a few inches smaller but even then, it still had the give and space that I didn't need to alter it when my wedding day did come. The back is sheer which shows off my tattoo but it isn't scratchy at all, which was important for me.

Alterations

It originally came with bedazzled 3" straps but I wanted a fall-off sleeve, as you can see, and a spaghetti strap instead of the bedazzling. I also added the belt that you see and I had it hemmed about 2 inches. All of the fabric and the original sleeves are still included with the dress and it only cost about $100 to replace the straps and would probably cost less to put them back on as I think most of the cost was adding the fall-off sleeve part. You can still raise your arms fully, I made sure of that because I am a ballroom dancer so our first dance had to have ease of movement.
