The Dress

This dress was custom made for me by a famous San Francisco dress designer; Atelier Des Modistes. I wore it once, on a beautiful September day, and it was immediately dry cleaned and preserved and has been in that preservation box since. We are moving and downsizing and I need to Marie Kondo my dress and pass it on to someone else!

I don’t remember what size I was when I got married but somewhere between 8-10 most likely. Because it was custom made there is no specific brand size to refer to.

It is a 2-piece dress to cinch you in at the waist, as much as possible. Also, being 2-pieces means alterations are MUCH MUCH easier.

The skirt is floor length , gorgeous heavy silk/satin/charmeuse (don’t remember to be honest) with a little extra something underneath to keep the shape while wearing.

The top strapless corset is made from a French lace, in a creamy white, which was layed over a beautiful dusty peach-pink satin for a little more depth of color. It has boning and a built in cups to help keep the girls looking good all day.

It all ties in the back with a stunning, extra long, coordinated pink-peach satin bow that does up the corset and then when tied still has long tails coming off the bow.

Note- measurements above are best guess because I wore this before I had 3 kids!
