The Dress

This size 6 Morilee dress fit every curve with perfection. I am 5'5, wear 34B bra size and wore a 3 inch heel. She has a flowing mermaid style with a corset bodice and frosted beading. The sheer back with exposed boning has a coutre effect while the detailed shimmery layer adds a beautiful backdrop. The larger size in store was an identical fit when clipped in the back. The flare begins right above knee level so it will not interfere with length in stride or dipping/dancing. I learned dresses that flare lower in the leg can inhibit dancing. Surprisingly quick and easy to step into and slip back out. This dress is not as heavy as other dresses I tried on. The length was not altered. Bra cups were built in with alteration. The bustle is an elegant French style that retains the beautiful shape of the dress instead of hiding it's shape with the traditional American stlye bustle. Once I found her, I was actually excited each time I had a reason to put her on again.

Of note, I was worried about my "mom pouch". I bought a pair of skims size small low back under shorts and they were flexible and comfortable. They were perfect under this dress. I didn't feel like I had ribs being broken and they did not roll. I also have a small lower back tattoo that I used tattoo makeup to cover so it didn't show through the nude back, and it did not show.

I began my dress search at David's Bridal and nothing stood out. I felt overwhelmed and didn't look again for a few days. I didn't expect to find a dress for a while and felt this trip would be "research". When I tried this on I felt nothing would top it. And as I came out my sister began to cry. She was my dress from the start and I hope she is as special to you as she is to me.

Alterations

Built in bra cups, spaghetti straps were shortened because the dress comes with them made very long for accommodations, and a French style bustle.
