The Dress

From Galia Lahav: A shimmery sequin embroidery makes this A-line gown feel undeniably glamorous, but its sheer corset bodice, scoop neckline, and thin straps make it subtly sexy and uniquely one-of-a-kind.

It's described as an A-line but it felt to me almost like a cross between an A-line and a mermaid - it skimmed the body so nicely (like a gentle hug vs. a squeeze!). It's technically a "scoop" neckline but the scoop is so subtle that it looks more like a square neck (which I preferred- super flattering).

This dress is INCREDIBLE and it made me feel like the most confident, beautiful version of myself on my wedding day, for real. Friends, family, friends of friends, total strangers - everybody said they'd never come across a dress like it, and it was a total wow moment all.day.long. Selling it has honestly been a really tough decision to come to... but ultimately I think I want this dress to continue to have more lives. It's too gorgeous to be sitting in a closet.

I ordered a split size to make it less of a hassle tailoring (36 x 42 x 38). I'm generally a cup size 32B, 28/4 in pants, S in dresses & skirts. I'm 5'3 but wore small heels putting me at 5'5" in the dress.

Alterations

Cups added to corset top, Straps shortened, hem shortened (to fit a 5'5" height), English bustle added. All tailoring was done at Galia Lahav Los Angeles by their in-house seamstress team.
