The Dress

I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted and in truth is was something that scared me a bit after watching some of the program's on TV, but as I quite like a fitted dress and I love a bit of bling, I thought that would be the style I would go for, tight and blingy.
I tried on a few styles and did not really feel comfortable especially in the fitted ones, all I could think of was its a long day to be wearing it and my stomach can get very bloated at times.
My daughter picked this one for me to try and instantly I fell in love, it was so comfortable, I loved how it moved, I loved how I felt in it. I really like the top half of the dress, it felt lovely to wear and had great support, due to my tattoos I did not plan to go for a low back, but again once tried on it felt so comfortable. My thought was it would hide any bloating that I may suffer from on my big day and it did, I felt amazing the whole day.
The dress is plain, so different from the bling I thought of originally, but that is what I liked about it, all the material gave it a very grand look, I loved the bit of train it had, yet it was so light.
I teamed it with a small diamante belt for the evening, which to me gave it a whole new look and feel.
I would love to keep the dress, but it is too beautiful to leave it hidden away, it was dry cleaned a few weeks after my big day and is ready to be worn again.
Despite being dry cleaned, there are a few internal marks in the train part of the dress which you can see in the photo, this cannot be seen while wearing as it is internal where the dress meets the floor, there is no damage to the dress just the discoloration that you can see.

Alterations

I did have to let the dress out in the top section, this was due to me being on crutches prior to my wedding which increased the muscle through my back, this was only a few centimeters.
