About the Dress

This is a one of a kind couture dress designed by renowned designer Helen Manuell and worn in March 2016.

The real wow factor of gown is how beautifully it is made and how the silhouette is designed, it is feminine and timelessly elegant, it was such a pleasure to wear.

The dress is made from three layers of silk with the matte side facing to give it a luxurious look and feel (many cheaper dresses are lined with polyester which makes the skin side sweat), the multiple layers ensure the dress does not cling and the weight of the layers makes it hang beautifully.

The fine French Guipure lace trim softens the modest bust and creates a classic sweetheart neckline leading to the exquisite feature panel down the front centre, which is thoughtfully placed over nude silk to exhibit the detail in the lace and features hand sewn Swarovski pearl detailing.

The lace detail is carried to the back of the bodice and frames the silk covered buttons, which are supported by an invisible zip with hook and eye. The bust to hip corset is fully boned and quite comfortable to wear.
The two metre train makes a glamourous statement walking down the aisle, it is overlayed with the fine French Guipure lace detail sweeping over the bottom edge. For the reception the train can be picked up from hand loops sewn underneath on either side.

The dress is made to fit size 6-8 with DD bust, as the cups are not moulded this gives room for alterations or bust cups to be inserted if needed to add volume, I am 168cm tall and wore a medium heel on the day.

The dress was only worn for our indoor ceremony, portrait photos and speeches and has been hand dry cleaned at great expense to bring it to as new condition. The dress comes with the certificate of hand dry cleaning as well as a 50% off card for Syndall’s hand dry cleaning, which will save you approx. $550 should you choose to take the gown there.

The dress comes with original branded Helen Manuell garment bag and coat hanger. Please note that the veil was a separate piece which I have decided to keep for sentimental reasons.
