About the Dress

This Sarah Seven was the dress of my dreams. It was modern and minimal, while still having interesting detail. I truly wish I could wear this again :) I got so many comments on how unique, yet bridal it was. I think it's very versatile - as it could be worn for a more formal, city wedding - or a country wedding like we had.

The fabric is silk with a bit of stretch, which was super comfortable. It's also very forgiving- I didn't worry about shapewear or lumps and bumps.

It does not come with the cape -- I chose to keep it simple. I also had the zipper lowered in the back to create a more seamless look with the overlay.
Additional alterations are described below.

Was purchased at The Dress Theory in Seattle, Washington.

It was professionally dry cleaned at a bridal specific shop, and it looks brand new. It's been hanging in the bag in a closet since (with the exception of taking these pictures). The wrinkles at the bottom will steam out easily - but I want to avoid any unnecessary steaming as the silk fabric is so delicate.

Alterations

Dress was hemmed to my height with heels (I'm 5'3 and my heels were 3 inches). The dress was taken in at the hips and waist to my measurements.

We also added a ballroom bustle for dancing - there are 11 snap/tie points due to the weight of the fabric and train. It stayed put all night.
