The Dress

Lovers Society is a beautiful New Zealand brand that creates modern wedding gowns for the unique bride.

I bought this beautiful gown from a young woman who wore it once for her wedding. I ended up with a different wedding dress in the end, so have never worn it apart from trying it on at home. I paid $1500 for it in 2023.

I fell in love with the unique style of the Harley gown, and never found another dress like it. It has a dramatic train and bold, floral embroidered lace on top of a streamlined figure-hugging crepe. The nude tulle upper bodice gives the illusion of an off-the-shoulder style, while giving a supportive fit (with no concern of potential wardrobe malfunction!) The backless look is beautiful and flattering and accentuates curves of the waist and hips. The gown is figure hugging while feeling comfortable. The material is thick enough to hide any bumps from any underwear.

Alterations

From the original seller "alterations were done by the very talented ladies at Sew Special in the city. I am 173cm tall and I wore 8cm heels for the wedding, so the dress was taken up only slightly. I also had a ribbon bustle addded, B soft cups added and a small alteration to take the dress in at the waist. Total cost for alterations was $950"
