The Dress

Elevated yet uncomplicated, this stretch Mikado wedding dress was designed with a modern straight neckline and subtle V-back. Princess seams down the bodice add a classic touch while inverted godets detail the skirt sides.

I purchased this dress for my wedding in April 2024. It's Mikado silk with a chapel length train and fabric covered round silk buttons going down the entire back of the dress, but it has a hidden zipper so you don't actually have to have to button anything. The back of the dress is gorgeous because it dips down to create a beautiful silhouette, especially in photos.

The dress also comes with detachable spaghetti straps if you choose to add them. I only wore this dress for my ceremony and then changed into a reception dress so I was in it for maybe 3 hours. The dress is in perfect condition and has been professionally dry cleaned.

The thickness of the dress is pretty substantial, however, I packed this dress in my carry-on for my destination wedding in Thailand so I can confirm this is very easy to travel with.

Alterations

Measurements & Alterations: Alternations were around $1,500. The dress is a bridal 12 and I am a size 4/6 street size. I had the bust and waist taken in to fit my 35.5 inch bust, but my tailor left the original fabric so she said if you needed to let out the seems a bit (about 6 inches) you would be able to do so easily. I didn't touch the hips during alterations. I also had 2 cups added to the bust (as I have a fairly small chest) and wanted to create the illusion of a larger bust.

I am 5'3 and I wore 4 inch heels so this would be good for anyone around the same height, or for anyone who plans to wear shorter heels.
