The Dress

This beautiful Georgia Young Couture Butter dress was purchased off StillWhite in April 2023 and worn for my wedding in December 2023. The original owner had purchased it directly from Georgia Young in 2022, wore it for her wedding and had it dry cleaned professionally. Similarly, the dress has been dry cleaned after my wedding and is currently being stored as per their instructions.

The dress is a stunning ivory soft matte finish crepe fabric, with a low-structured bodice, asymmetric draped details and off-the-shoulder wrap strap. The fabric is unbelievably flattering and the dress received so many compliments at my wedding.

After I purchased it, the dress was altered by Georgia Young's recommended seamstress (Sophia Rotar from Inpira). As well as being taken in and hemmed to fit my body, press studs were added to hold the shoulders in place and the back draping piece was twisted slightly to flow better with the altered waistline. All of these can be easily removed if preferred. The train was also shortened slightly, making the dress lighter to wear and not visually as heavy through the bottom. Rest assured, it did not affect the integrity or look of the original design!

The dress was originally made as a Size 14, however after my alterations it would suit a Size 10-12 (or small busted Size 14).
