The Dress

Chic de la chic!  For sale is an exquisite custom-made bridal gown inspired by a Badgley Mischka Bride creation from 1997. It is fashioned in a very high-quality four-ply silk, ivory color, in a sheath style, with a cap sleeve, a neckline that is somewhat wide, soft and rounded. The dress is elegant, has a substantial weight and body to it and a soft matte sheen. The front and back bodice are highlighted by appliquéd silk motifs, each with pearlized seed beads and some clear sequins to catch the light. There are three drape-y tiers, each bordered with silken lace-like appliqué, on the lower portion of the skirt. The back neck is slightly scooped but not low, and the dress is zippered with silk fabric covered buttons in a line from neck to the high hip. There is a small puddle train (or court train). The dress is fully lined in silk. 

Custom made in Los Angeles thus there is no brand tag, no care tag and no size tag but it fits a tall woman (5’10” plus 2-3” heels) who is a U.S. size 6, with narrow shoulders, a small bust and a small waist. Important: please see the measurements below and photos to ensure the bust/PTP, waist, hip and length measurements for this gown will fit Buyer’s needs.

Condition: Excellent used condition. Professionally cleaned and preserved in acid-free paper and an archival box for more than 20 years. Removed from archive box for these photos. The dress was worn once for 8 hours (and has only good marriage karma since then!). There is a 1” section of the lining along the zipper (inside) that has a few popped stitches — this doesn’t affect the function nor drape but is noted here for an abundance of disclosure. No stains, no tears, no snags.  The archive box and specialized packing material are included in the sale.
