The Dress

I adored my stunning Madi Lane wedding dress purchased brand new from Luv Bridal in Crows Nest.

WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT:

I felt like an absolute princess, but also supremely comfortable and carefree, as it was so easy to move, sit and even dance in, which was important to me. It has a long rounded lace train - which looked amazing as I walked down the aisle. I loved the mocha silk under layer which made the bright ivory/white lace shine. I adored how my bust looked in the bodice, with mesh across the v-line. It's classic shape was so flattering. The detail and colour of the lace was perfect for me, and I really liked that it was lovely big leaves and flowers, not a tight busy pattern. It also has two layers of white tulle under the skirt, which added just the right amount of fullness. The absolute icing on the cake for me was the gorgeous low mesh back with beautiful lace details.

Alterations

I bought a size 8 which was amended to a small size 6. In street clothes, I usually wear a size 10 or 8. Please check my measurements above. There was also a lace leaf on the mesh across the bust, and one on one of the straps. These felt out of place for me, so my amazing seamstress moved them elsewhere for me. I have some of the original fabric that was removed, and my seamstress said it is possible to use this to make the dress longer, or add it elsewhere. It includes the original Madi Lane carry bag and tags.
