The Dress

Mille Skirt by Chosen by Kyha. The skirt is tiered tulle and gives a modern full skirt look. I loved the Mille Skirt as it has the more traditional style of a full skirt, but the tiered tulle gave it a modern twist. As you can see in the photos, the silhouette of the skirt is gorgeous and photographs well and I also got some fun photos spinning in the skirt.

I wore the Millie Skirt with a simple ivory camisole. There are many other ways you can style the skirt, with a loose or tight fitting top or something more cropped.

I had the skirt altered to be floor length, which given the skirt has a large amount of fabric, it remains at this length whether you are standing or walking. The length of the skirt is 103cm. I also had the waistband altered slightly, the hook and eye was moved to make the waist slightly bigger. My seamstress had explored replacing the waistband entirely to be the perfect size, which she felt would be a relatively easy alteration.

I bought the dress second hand - it was worn by the first owner for 5 hours as her first wedding dress, and I wore it for 3 hours as my first wedding dress. The dress is in great condition with no flaws. I have had the dress dry cleaned. The tulle does crease when being stored, but I had it steamed a few days before my wedding and it looked great and fresh on the day.

Alterations

The Mille Skirt is made very long. The skirt has been altered to be floor length and measures 103cm long. The waist band was adjusted and I subsequently moved the hook and eye to give to make it slightly larger.
