The Dress

This is Newhite's PALM dress crafted in the most beautiful liquid silk! One shoulder dress with a versatile neck scarf (I just let the scarf hang over my shoulder but the model wears it across the neck).

I felt like a million bucks in this dress. It was incredibly comfortable and easy to wear, and the movement of the dress was beautiful as I walked around to greet my guests.

See below for alteration details - due to the delicate nature of the material, there is a tiny bit of fraying at the bottom which is not visible when you wear it (see video). The dress has also been professionally dry cleaned and there is no visible stain even in the inner lining.

Alterations

1. The dress was hemmed to suit my height, i.e. 168cm including heels.
2. The inner lining of the dress was shortened to floor length - i.e. the lining does not extend all the way to the end of the train. This made for easier movement and the flow looked really nice in photos and videos.
3. The original design featured metal hooks on the shoulder which left visible gaps when fastened. My seamstress replaced those hooks with invisible buttons so the shoulder closure looks smoother now (see photo).
4. The original low back was raised very slightly.
