The Dress

This dress was a dream! It was the first dress I tried on at the bridal store and I instantly fell in love and knew it was the one. What I love about the dress is the low back while also having a plunging neckline in the front, the train is STUNNING, and the detail buttons down the back just elevate the dress. Another thing I liked was that the buttons are just sewn on so the dress is super easy to get on and off, while giving the illusion that they are actual buttons. The dress when I originally purchased from the bridal shop was $2,700.

I had the dress altered to fit like a glove. The seamstress shortened the length (I am 5’4” but wore 3” heels), took in the waist and added a bustle! Alterations cost me $650 total.

The dress while it looks like it would be hard to sit in, the crepe fabric is stretchy and I was comfortable through out the whole night: sitting / eating / drinking.

Current condition: one of the buttons fell off at some point during the night of my wedding. You could easily have a seamstress take one of the lower buttons and add it back in. I have also seen brides add in extra buttons down the entire train which is an option. Other than that the dress is in near perfect condition with no rips or staining.

While I absolutely LOVED my dress I would hate for it to sit in a box for the next 60 years and go to waste. She should live to make another wedding appearance and I would love for that to be your wedding!

Hips taken in, bottom was shortened, and added a bustle.
