The Dress

Never been down the aisle… yet!

I bought this stunning Galia Lahav gown from a sample sale, but due to COVID I never got to wear it. I’m now hoping another bride can give it the debut it truly deserves.

The dress will make you feel like a Hollywood starlet. It skims your body, nips in at the waist, and has a cascading train that you can hitch up with an attached bustle.

The front has an illusion boat neckline, with a panel that covers what would be a plunging neckline in crystals and beading. It catches the light incredibly without being too garish or blingy.

The back is the true showstopper! It’s backless apart from thin crossed straps in the lower back, and has a really unusual frame-like detail here. Originally this was a cross-stitch rose design, which I still have and will come with the dress. But I decided to ask my seamstress to swap this for vintage lace and beads. Now you have the choice of both!

It’s such a special, special dress, and I’d love for someone to use it as it’s just been in storage and never actually worn.

Alterations

I’m a standard UK size 6, and this has had super minor alterations to fit it to me. I’m also tall (170cm) and it’s been fitted to fit me in 10cm heels - so if you’re 180cm or below, this could definitely work for you.
