The Dress

This is an authentic Carolina Herrera dress from one of their final bridal collections, making it a rare piece that you won’t find again. It is from the Fall 2020 collection, but I purchased it in 2023 from The Wedding Club in South Kensington, London.

The bodice band was originally twisted, but I had it flattened so it sits flat and straight. The band swoops into an asymmetrical bow at the back which gives the dress an architectural feel.

It also has an exposed crystal embellished corset that cascades down the back. These intricate embellishments are ever so slightly visible from the side profile, which adds a bit of interest to an otherwise classic dress with timeless appeal.

You can tell that this is a Carolina Herrera gown from the quality alone - it’s made from silk faille, and the dramatic skirt moves beautifully as there are about 10 layers of light tulle underneath giving it weight and shape. There is a strong internal corset that cinches in at the waist. Also, it has pockets!

I loved wearing this special dress for my wedding, and I hope another bride finds as much joy from it as I did! 🤍

It was only worn for my ceremony, then I changed into a second evening dress. It has been professionally dry cleaned. Please DM me with any questions.

Alterations

I untwisted the bodice band so it sits flat and straight across the chest. I also tightened the corset and got the bottom hemmed.
