The Dress

A luxurious mermaid style wedding dress with a plugging v neck, (front, back and sides) made of the most gorgeous baroque beaded lace, with numerous layers in various champagne, nude and ivory colours and finished with an intricate trim along the neckline. This is the wow, one-of-a-kind wedding dress you have being looking for, which I bought in Brides of Beecroft in Epping, NSW in September 2023.

I have had the dress professionally spot cleaned but have been advised not to do a full dry clean as the next bride will wish to do so after their alterations are completed, noting it is a delicate dress so it's best to avoid over cleaning it. I have factored this into the overall price. ($575 for a full professional dry-clean for a fully beaded gown)

I would be happy to add my beautiful chapel length tulle wedding veil in Ivory (3m x 1.5m) from Little White Couture in QLD, which I purchased for $129.95, complimentary with my dress as it goes perfectly with the wedding train. As you can see from the photos, the wedding train is long, dramatic and luxurious, which will create an elegant bridal entrance.

Alterations

My very talented and trusted seamstress used the overskirt that came with the dress to make the embroidered tulle sleeves to add to the vintage glamour; added some embroidery to the tulle on the v-neck at the front so it wasn't so plunging; added an inbuilt padded bra to add definition to my cleavage; a bustle at the back to allow for dancing; hemming to custom fit to my shoe height; and made numerous adjustments to ensure a fitted silhouette in the lead up to my wedding. This dress would be a true to size AU size 8 following all alterations. (Total paid for alterations were $880)

FYI there was a slight tear at the back where the dress was bustled due to the weight of the dress, however this will be very easily fixed. As part of my package, I will give you the off cuts from the overskirt, which my seamstress advised will be perfect for any future alterations. I have factored this very minor flaw into my overall price.
