The Dress

I'm selling my stunning Karen Willis Holmes wedding dress - it's a fun, modern gown with a nod to classic silhouettes, the perfect mix! I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day and hope this dress can make someone else feel the same on their special day!

It has a Taryn bodice and Kirsten skirts with added bubble sleeves and belt (which is optional). The firm bodice made me feel snatched but comfortable and had petite buttons down the back which was a beautiful detail. The dress also has pockets, a high leg split (with a modesty panel) and attached bubble sleeves which I truly fell in love with.

I am normally a size 14 with a 14DD bust. I am 163cm and wore a 4cm heel and then changed into a platform sneaker, however the hem was slightly long on the day. I had a pattern change made to add a few centimetres of extra coverage in the bust panels to make sure the 'girls' were well supported and to stop that feeling of 'falling out' of the dress while maintaining the silhouette of the neckline. Dress has a bustle which was perfect for a long night of fun and dancing.

The dress is in perfect condition after spending many weeks at Syndal 's Bridal Dry Cleaner - they were amazing and my dress was spotless!

All alterations were done at the KWH in Armadale by Katilyn their seamstress. Other than the pattern changes, there were only a few small alterations made to make the dress fit my body well. I highly recommend their seamstresses for any alterations you need done, Kaitlyn was friendly, professional and super particular which filled me with confidence.
