The Dress

Up for sale is my beautiful Jane Hill "Bobbie" wedding gown. Purchased in 2023 from Felicity's Bridal in Auckland, which is the only stockist of Jane Hill in NZ. Price paid at the time of ordering was $5,850.

The dress was made to order in a split size as I am typically larger on the bottom, compared to the top. Given the simple design, it will be easy to have taken in. I have noted the colour as Ivory, but the correct description is 'natural'. Being crepe fabric means it is also more forgiving and has almost a stretchy feel to it, so you won't be restricted when wearing (great for sitting down to eat dinner!).

The dress has been dry-cleaned in June 2024 by Regal Drycleaners in Auckland. The dress cleaned up really well, but there was a small stain at the back on the underside which they weren't able to remove. This cannot be seen when wearing the dress as it's on the underside. I have included a photo of the stain.

Alterations:
I had the right "sleeve" altered into a removable cuff. Without doing this, it was virtually impossible to raise my arms as it was too restrictive. The cuff meant I could properly hug people, be spun around during our first dance, and also gave me two different looks with the dress. I have included pictures of me on the day both with and without the cuff. I also had a bustle added so the train can be tied up and out of the way (pictured).

I have copies of receipts for both the original purchase and the dry-cleaning.

I am based on the North Shore in Auckland and am happy for you to come and view/try on. However please serious buyers only! I don't want the dress to be touched/tried on too many times if it can be avoided.
