The Dress

Size 10 Wed2Be ‘Sacha’ mermaid/fishtail gown in ivory from Viva Bride collection. It can still be found on their website.

I had it customised with the addition of wide lace straps and a diamanté waist detail ☺️

It has a flattering sweetheart neckline and beautiful floral lace with sequins.

The corset back means there is a lot of flexibility in the top half. It’s not a very low back, so I was able to wear a strapless bra. It also has added padded cups sewn in.

I wore the dress to my wedding in July this year and got many compliments! The vertical sequin detail makes a very flattering silhouette and the sequins on the dress are incredibly sparkly!

There are a few layers and a small train, but the dress felt nice and light to wear.

The dress hasn’t been dry cleaned, but has been washed and has come up like new. I cannot see any obviously tears or marks.

The diamanté waist attachment was removed for washing but it can easily be stitched back on.

The dress comes with a zip-up Wed2Be carry case.

Alterations

As you can see, it has been customised with the addition of wide lace straps. My seamstress also added a diamanté detail to the waist which was removed for cleaning but can easily be stitched back on.

It has padded cups sewn into the bust.

It was professionally shortened to fit me (I am 5ft 6” but wore extremely low heels) and has been taken in a little around the hips.

My seamstress also added a bustle so that the train could be hooked up in the evening.
